The DC Street Photography Collective is pleased to announce our first PHOTO WALK of the 2021.

Join members of the DCSPC and the DC street community as we traverse the intricacies of Dupont Circle, Kalorama, Adams Morgan, ending at Elle’s restaurant (3221 Mt. Pleasant St NW Washington DC - Exhibition Event: 3:00pm-6:00pm) in Mount Pleasant for the Exposed DC photography exhibition from 3:00-6:00 PM, an annual show that shines a spotlight on life in the D.C. metro area. This exhibition is a part of the Focus on the Story International Photo Festival.

Attendees are encouraged to have an awesome time, meet like-minded individuals, get some steps in, and make some dope street photography along the way. We’ll be hanging out from 1:30pm-2:00ish at the Dupont Circle Fountain, then we’ll make our way towards Elle’s.

ALSO!!! The @dc_spc instagram will be posting some of the photos made during the walk. TAG US on instagram using the hashtag: #DC_SPC for your chance to be featured! And don’t forget to register!

DCSPC's Chris Suspect Featured in Psychotic Reactions - Online Exhibit with Landscape Stories Magazine

DCSPC member Chris Suspect has two projects, harDCore and Gratuity Included featured in an online exhibition called Psychotic Reactions on Landscape Stories Magazine out of Italy.

The exhibit attempts to answer the question "What are the songs that struck us in our adolescence? And then how much music has been a constant presence during our life? What was hiding and what still hides behind that sort of iridescent carnival sound?"

The exhibit features work and quotes from many notable writers and photographers including Chris Killip, Deanna Templeton, Jon Savage, William Gibson, Kirk Weddle, Michael Lavine, and many more.

DCSPC photographer Sofia Sebastian will be live on May 27th at 8pm (EST) with Observadores Urbanos to talk about her photography and her photographic process. Join us for “Our City, Ourselves: Women Photograph Washington” — a night of photography and attribution to women photographers making art in the District of Columbia.

The DC Street Photography Collective is pleased to be working with the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) during their closing event on May 20th 2021 at 6:00pm online where there will be a showcase of images taken across all eight wards of DC, as well as hear from the artists themselves.

The DCSPC will be sharing images from collective members as well as answering questions about the organization, how people can get involved, and support art, as well as the artists who are photographing the art of public spaces in DC.
